Does fiscal decentralization curb the ecological footprint in pakistan?

چکیده

This paper offers a new indulgence to the present literature by integrating role of fiscal decentralization (FD) in affecting ecological footprint (EF). So, this study considered effect FD on EF existence energy consumption (EC), technological innovation (TI), gross domestic product (GDP), and trade openness (TOP) from 1990 2018 Pakistan. We employ econometric methods like Bayer & Hanck cointegration, fully modified ordinary least squares, dynamic canonical cointegration regression for empirical analysis. Moreover, frequency domain causality test is used conclude causal impact FD, EC, TI, GDP, TOP EF. The results disclose that boost Pakistan; however, TI promote sustainability environment reducing Besides, outcomes indicate have insinuations long term. As policy recommendation, research suggests Pakistan could successfully integrate strategies increase quality allowing lower level government utilize eco-friendly innovations.
